yes, but the PCIe optanes are incredibly overpriced now. I copped the datacenter edition (u.2) and an adapter.

While researching I was immediately worried that an (((adapter))) might do translation/compression and bottlekneck my i/o speed somehow which would defeat the entire purpose of getting an optane...Can confirm it does not, and I am getting insane performance on non sequential workloads I designate to it. soooo CR
