With all due respect, you don't actually do anything on a daily basis. Your whole life is beer, bed, xo and twitter. Hard to see any new invention having much of an impact on your life.

there are structures in the data that humans aren’t aware of. AI was able to find several of these in chess 3-4 years ago. The hope is that more powerful AIs with models of the entire world will find analogous structures that will be useful in physics, science, medicine, etc.
A fun test one AI lab is running is to train AI models on Newtonian physics and Maxwell’s equations only, and see if they can infer Special Relativity from that dataset like Einstein did. If…or rather, when…that happens, humans will be cooked since every AI thereafter will be Einstein-level capable and we’ll have millions of those suckers floating around working on all kinds of problems and doing all kinds of other shit we probably won’t even know about and couldn’t understand even if we did.

Many models are not even good at searching. I searched a broad technology related question and Google AI cited a completely outdated article from 2012. But because the weight of its training materials makes it think that is the most statistically likely (not correct) answer, that's what it says.

WRONG GOY!
ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt says every anti-Semitism complaint filed with the ADL is now immediately scanned by their "AI systems" to see if there's a "litigation opportunity" they can forward to their network of some "50,000 lawyers."
"Last year, in partnership with Gibson Dunn, we created something called the Legal Action Network," Greenblatt tells a gathering at a synagogue in LA. "We've assembled 50 of the top law firms in the US to create a pro bono coterie of literally like 50,000 lawyers."
"And so now when you enter in an incident at ADL, it instantly gets evaluated by our AI systems. Is there a litigation opportunity? And we feed it to the lawyers to evaluate and to find someone to take the case."
