Date: July 3rd, 2009 1:11 AM Author: Big keepsake machete therapy just going by the 25% of the exam i missed, 15% was in the cmr but not in the lectures, and 10% was just stupid errors on my part by ignoring minutia in the questions or answers. i just can't see how basically everyone else did significantly worse.
i guess just review your outlines and do some questions now and again, but focus on the essays. |

I did the multistate preview questions (but not the 100 question half-day test) and MPQ1 sets 1 and 2. No PMBR. Got a 138 on the mock test (93rd %ile).
I plan on doing sets 3 and 4 to retain, and maybe some of 5 or 6 in the subjects on which I scored lower. Otherwise, it's time to focus on essay subjects, which I have largely neglected (other than listening to the lectures). |

You should be working on all areas throughout your prep, but the emphases shift. As prep continues, a gradually, progressively greater percentage of your work should be in the stuff that's harder for you. Then, over the last week or 10 days, the emphasis should gradually shift back to doing what's easier for you. This way you're likely to get to the test better rested and more confident. People who've actually followed this plan say that it pretty much works.
In your case, you can go pretty light on MBE at this point; your "ten questions a day and focus on the State subjects" plan sounds right. By ten days out from the bar, you'll probably have your State subjects each boiled down to a couple pages of outline or a few notecards (or be in the process of doing that), so at that point you'd start shifting your emphasis a little each day. By the last weekend before the bar, you should be reviewing your mini-outlines but mostly practicing MBE (maybe PMBR questions, if you have them). The day before the bar you can just take it easy; the whole week before, you should be getting full nights' sleep at regular hours.
