trudeau already established canada as a post-nationalist state during the 2010's. it looks absurd to appeal to patriotism/nationalism given the events since then, from the south asian flood to the crushing of the truckers. what 'nation' are you even talking about anymore? lol.
and i don't even think the tariffs are a good idea. but watching canadian media and politicians trying desperately to pivot to 'nationalism' after decades of dismantling nationalism and heaping scorn on terms like 'old-stock canadian' is too silly to ignore.
