They would not nuke cities, they would not roll tanks over villages, they would not unleash hell. They would, at best, play some HR managerial game (led by female secretaries of war), and sink into a 30 year quagmire with their soldiers, all leashed by human rights codes, dying slowly and forever.
Their governments, and to some extent their people, are incapable of war.
Replacing NATO with their own bullshit is meaningless. Precisely what would make Europeans war-ready (religious faith, belonging at home, committed families, abiding nationalism) is what they have purposefully destroyed. |

I think the EU could theoretically launch an air campaign with mostly stand-off weapons being used against targets in russia. Russia air defense has proven unable to stop UKR attacks in Russia. UKR is hampered by the limited quantity of long-range drones they can use to attack targets in russia. With the EU involved you'd have a lot of weaponry attacking refineries, factories, weapons caches etc. I guess you're right in the sense that I don't they have the balls to do this even if it's "doable".
