I can bump this thread after closing arguments, but the State’s presented the key elements of its case at this point, and the Defense is not likely to call a surprise witness that turns the whole trial upside down. Factoring in everything you know about the trial, the judge, the jury, etc. do you think Trump will be convicted? If you’re predicting a hung jury then you’re predicting that no he won’t be convicted.
I’ll start: I think he’s toast. Stormy Daniels did way better than she should have and Blanche fucked up today by getting too far in the gutter with the witness and making things personal to himself. The jury sees the prosecutors as the more competent side, and the State’s case is made by documents and recordings that prove Trump’s version of the events is bullshit and gives the jury permission to look past both Cohen and Stormy’s obvious bias. I know all of you cons watching Fox News coverage think that Blanche is a genius and he’s been dominating the trial, but in reality he’s been pretty bad and based on his opening I highly doubt he’s capable of some amazing closing to save the day.

Hung jury or acquit. No convict.

I’d be surprised by anything other than a hung jury.
At least one white woman on the jury was a yes to convict before the trial even started, regardless of any of the evidence. Most white women I know in NYC would blindly convict him of any crime. Can’t imagine he’s escaped having a single one of those on the jury.
And I imagine at least on other member will see this as complete BS of a process regardless of the facts.

they (including one of them who was an investigator for the local DA office or something), after a string of thefts in their neighborhood, got a call about a guy who had been snooping around a work site. It just so happened that this guy was also known by local police as "the jogger" who had a history of theft in local businesses etc and IIRC attacking a cop. These guys, suspecting that he was up to no good, arrived to find him running. In their fatal mistake, they tried to citizen arrest him at gunpoint and wait for the cops to get there, but Arbery literally ran at the pickup truck from what appears to be dozens of feet away and tried to fight an armed dude

they shot him.
I think even the guy filming this video had jail time

the summer of floyd is when i official lost all faith in the msm and my default assumption became "how am i being lied to?" on every story.
first reaction to floyd -- hey, he's sitting on the dudes neck! people are shouting at him to stop! seems like clear police brut... oh wait, he was chimping out hard and it turns out this was a restraint taught to police.
first reaction to arbery -- woah, he was just jogging through the neighborhood? that seems like a pretty clear case of... oh wait, he not only lunged at the gun and forced them into a kill or be killed situation, but also wasn't jogging at all and was a known thief.

To be fair,
In a just world, acquitted.
In the real world, hung jury.

LMAO
this question used to be synonymous with “do you think the prosecution made its case to a fair minded jury of his peers?”
Now? flip a coin
