Turn off 5G on your iphone

Date: January 16th, 2025 12:49 PM Author: Exhilarant Useless Range Giraffe I finally had to get a new iPhone - they are designed with functional obsolescence built in so that you’re eventually forced to upgrade. For me, my phone would only barely charge if the angle of charger and phone were held in a very specific way, which became too annoying after awhile. However, I noted in a prior post that my leg was feeling weird with the phone in my pocket, which I hadn’t felt previously and which I attributed to the 5G network, where the emissions emitted is much more intense than 4G. I looked online to see if there were ways of turning off 5G, but the ways that the internet offered did not work with my old iPhone.
I was able to turn off 5G on my new iPhone, though, or at least I think I did (who knows if what the phone says it’s doing is actually true?). If you have a newer iPhone, you can turn off 5G as follows:
Open Settings.
Tap "Cellular".
In "Cellular", tap "Cellular Data Options".
In "Cellular Data Options", tap "Voice & Data".
Select "LTE" from the list to disable 5G completely. |

The metal prongs inside the charge cord just get pushed back with use and no longer make contact with the prongs inside the phone charge port. This has been happening to me for a decade, how is everyone itt just seeing it now? |
