It's the oposite imo
If Steve Jobs was alive his entire mission statement right now would be making iOS an elegant wrapper/curator for frontier AI while solving the harness UX for normies

Neither has a platform like Apple or Google to accomplish this, their primary market is b2b, harness is not their primary focus, and the division between them is literally creating the problem that needs to be solved by an OS

I let codex take over my entire Mac today to:
-run malwarebytes
-audit and fix my firewall and spotlight settings
-check every tab in Activity Monitor to audit system performance
-setup Time Machine with disk utility on a new ssd and backup
-install docker and t3 and import all my ai subscriptions
Kind of insane that codex is a full harness for entire hardware/software/network configs now
T3 is more flexible for orchestrating more than 2 models at once (ie going beyond the Claude-Codex bridge)-- BUT you can also have Codex just takeover the other app and still have it conduct everything like a symphony

It needs to be opened up to multiple backend ai subs like they do for streaming tv etc. That is part of the elegant iOS harness solution that Steve Jobs would have insisted on by now
