I wrote this about LOTR recently which is facing another film reboot, no doubt to make it blacker, gayer and more perverted, but you shouldn't care about what happens to a creative work after the original author's involvement is over. The best you can have after that is a pale imitation of the original author's voice and the worst you can do is a rape of his intent and these two scenarios are not far off from each other. Ignore new entries and relish in the beauty of the old.
