Do you know of any disbarred attorneys (other than TBF of course)?

Sort of. A good friend of mine was disbarred a year or two ago, but he killed self shortly afterward. I never got to hear his side of the story. But based on the state bar's website, it looks like it was the standard thing where he was using client money as a piggy bank and finally enough clients complained that they hadn't been paid.

I knew one woman who went down in flames. Graduated from a bottom tier law school that got shut down shortly thereafter, squeaked through the bar exam after three years of taking it, promptly started screwing up cases left and right. Had a horrible, nasty attitude, was getting sued over business deals gone wrong, it was an epic flame out. It goes without saying that she was also mismanaging client money and maybe stealing it.
What did she do afterwards? She was facing possible jail time for contempt of court in connection with her disbarment hearings. So she jumped in an RV and went off the grid. Hasn't been found since.

Someone I went to high school with went on to become a successful attorney, made a lot of money, but then he had an affair, which his wife uncovered, then he started acting out with vicious nefariousness, and the bad behavior took him to a dark place where the divorce outcome was heavily weighted in her favor, he found himself with a felony collar, he was disbarred, custodial sentence, still on probation—the whole nine yards.
Don’t know the guy, but I remember his name from HS, and I read his story in various news outlets.

Seems almost impossible to get disbarred unless you straight up steal from clients or stop responding to them (usually, both). As an in house attorney I think it’s actually impossible. No company is going to make a bar complaint. They’ll just fire you
