Edit: I was wrong, Zenith didn't make Speedmasters, but they did make the original movement for the Rolex Daytona.
Looks like their main innovation was that it was the first automatic chronograph and it operated at a high frequency so it could measure down to the tenth of a second.
Omega gets points though for already having a chronograph even if it was a windup. |
