That's how most of these folks are. The reason they never get out of the hospital is because they can never admit that they committed the crime. When I repped these fucks I had a sweet old lady client who shot her neighbor dead while he was washing his car in the driveway. She was an old lady when I met her, but she refused to believe she could ever do such a thing, so she still couldn't get out of the hospital 20 years after the fact |

In theory the doctors are supposed to be treating your illness, and the NG in NGRI means not guilty. If people show genuine improvement they can be moved to halfway houses. However few make it past that stage unless they have rich family who can afford assisted living, because someone needs to verify that they are taking their meds.
