What Democrat is actually positioned to beat Trump in lieu of Biden?

If Biden steps down, who could replace him with a decent shot at Trump?
Kamala is obviously a no go. Whitmer isn't high profile enough and has enough dirt on her from just COVID and school shutdown stuff to hit her hard. Newsom has the face and moxie but GOP could just run ads of poop streets in CA and how he cleaned SF up to host Xi Jinping before letting it all go to shit again for actual Americans. Bernie is old and divisive. Everyone else who ran in 2020 is still a nobody.
Buttigieg is still too green, but seems like he could get the donor backing and with media forcememing 'YOUNG FIRST GAY POTUS WHO WORKED AT MCKINSEY', it seems like the only plausible shot.

here in Brussels, it is clear that a strong Trump is better than a weak and divided and unconvincing Biden/Kamala/Newsom/Whitmer
either the Democratic Party unites under a strong standard bearer or they will be defeated by the Trump alternative
