First, we see a hopeful doobs pulling onto campus with a U-Haul hitched to his car. It's a perfect late-summer day and the campus is bustling. He is wearing a gray "State U" t-shirt.

Next, we see doobs sheepishly apologizing to a classmate as he stumbles into his seat in a lecture hall, awkwardly clutching a stack of casebooks. We see the professor pose a question to the class, and the students on either side of doobs raise their hands, but doobs doesn't. Doobs looks confused, and he thumbs through his casebook as he listens to his classmate's answer.

Next, we see doobs lurking in the hallway outside the professor's office. The professor rounds the corner and is visibly surprised to see doobs there, and quickly glances at his watch. He regains his composure and invites doobs into his office.

Next, we see doobs alone in his room, burning the midnight oil. There is a "STATE U" pennant on the wall behind him. He is twirling a pencil in his hand, reading cases by the light of a single lamp. He is deep in thought.

Next, we see doobs in class. This time he raises his hand, and the professor smiles and calls on him. The professor nods approvingly as he listens to doobs' answer.

Next, we see doobs hanging out with classmates on the quad. We can see that he is starting to settle in. The group is sharing a laugh, a small bit of well-earned downtime from the rigors of 1L.

Next, we see doobs in a filthy bus station bathroom blowing a line of QUICK off of a toilet seat.

Next, we see doobs in class, he looks slightly disheveled. The professor calls on him, and has a puzzled look on his face as he listens to doobs' answer.

Next, we see doobs walking across the quad with a classmate. It is fall. The classmate looks slightly uncomfortable. Doobs' sweatshirt has a large stain across the front. His hair is greasy and dirty. Doobs is talking, and his classmate laughs nervously. When doobs grins we can see that one of his front teeth is missing.

Next, we see doobs squatting near a row of bushes outside of a nice suburban home. A car pulls into the driveway and doobs ducks down behind the bushes so he won't be seen. The camera pans across the yard and we see doobs' professor and his family exiting the car and walking into the house.

Next, we see doobs in his room, studying again. He closes his casebook and takes a monster hit off of his TWACK pipe. He has a large smear of blood across the side of his head, which he doesn't seem to be aware of.

Next, we see doobs in the Dean's office with the Dean and the professor. They look very concerned, listening to doobs explain something. When the camera moves around to doobs' face, we see that he now has a large bar-shaped septum piercing.

Next, we see doobs walking across the snowy campus and into the exam hall, where he finds a seat. He takes a deep breath as he opens his exam booklet. The camera pans to the clock on the wall, and the hands fast-forward three hours. The camera pans back, and we see doobs, asleep in his chair with a puddle of urine on the floor below him. There is a thin trickle of dried blood under his nose.

Next, we see doobs standing around a flaming metal drum with several vagrants. They are all laughing, puffing on their TiNa pipes and warming their hands over the fire. One man is unconscious on the ground, but no one seems concerned.

Next, we see doobs in the Dean's office again. The Dean is obviously delivering bad news, but doobs doesn't react. He is emaciated, red-eyed, and his face is covered in sores.

Next, we see doobs sitting on the bed in a filthy motel room. The bathroom door opens and a shirtless man comes out. He is holding a hunting knife and he delicately pokes the tip into a small baggie in his hand, and extends the knife towards doobs, who eagerly snorts the bump of GO FAST off the tip. The camera begins backing out of the room, and before the door shuts, we see doobs stand up and begin to unbutton his pants.

Next, we see doobs pulling his car up to a big row of mailboxes on campus. Doobs pulls several pieces of mail out of his box, and is excited to see that one letter is from Cravath. He quickly rips the envelope open and removes the letter. As he reads it, a grin slowly creeps across his face. We now see that nearly all of his teeth are missing or rotting out. Doobs laughs and drops the letter to the ground, and he gets into his car. The camera moves down to the letter, and the words slowly come into focus. "...highly irregular for us to take this kind of action, but we are required by law to inform you that you will be arrested if you attempt to make any further contact with the firm. We regret that such measures are necessary but..." In the background we see doobs' car pull away, U-Haul attached. A gust of wind blows the letter up into the air and away, across center campus. The music fades out.
