But when you just sit down and play it, it’s not that bad. It’s not like trying to give FF8 another chance where playing it proves how terrible it always was. IMO Nintendo and gaming writ large kind of shit the bed in the 6th gen. It was the first gen where you found yourself playing Worse Versions of the Same Game Mario 64 > Sunshine OOT/MM > Wind Waker/TP Goldeneye > whatever, nobody played timesplitters irl Xenogears > Xenosaga JRPGs as a whole fell off for some reason RE1-3 > Code Veronica Turok > Metroid Prime
