There is no amount of Mojo lore that will bring another Texas HS football championship to a place with those demographics. I believe Odessa High (the minority school in the book is about 90+% Hispanic and Permian is about 75% now. My point stands. For reference, I believe Permian was 30 something % Hispanic back in 1988 when the book was written, but don't worry, they are natural conservatives.
Went to farmers market in the nicer part of town couple years back. For reference, this is the far Eastern area very near the Midland County line border. To the north of HWY 191 there are some impressive McMansions inhabited by oilfield supply co millionaires, Jeet hotel chain owners and I suppose a doctor or 2. At the market, I was a huge beefy Cholo in his 20's with a #35 White and Black Permian jersey with "Boobie" written on the back name block. This went surprisingly well with his khaki Dickies and white sneakers, and I suppose the ghosts of 1988 still ring out.
I was at the courthouse over there a bit ago, and Brian Chavez was there chatting about the Cowboys with the Sheriff deputies at the screening station. Then he happened to wrap it up and get on the elevator with me. I don't know him personally. He was fat as fuck. |

I think Cork and Pig is decent for out here, and I've seen a little talent the bar area. Juji's Kitchen in Claydesta building has good food and decent prospects at the lunch hour. Kafeology at Garfield and the Loop usually has a couple of Midland JR college chicks in there mid day studying. I go there for afternoon coffee sometimes. If you like Latina chicks TerraZZita and the sister restaurant Santomar are ok. TerraZZita is like oilfield Mexican trash having fun with a birthday celebration every 15 minutes. Loud. Santomar is quieter more date night place. If you have some game and can prole it up. That place off the loop and Midland drive by PetSmart is 3rd world and prole, but there was a ton of big Assed Mexican/Cuban pussy in there the last time I went. Strawberry Fields in the health food store off Wadley is good for a solo healthy lunch, and you can bump into decent older white crowd in there if you are outgoing. Good for business type chats. Lots of olds and older white women having lunch after the Racquet Club.
I'm not big into Texas Tech football or shooting or hunting or shit like that. When I was single, my sport was pussy hunting. Big Bend and Guadalupe Peak are must goes, but its a drive. If your single, also, the 5'9" skinny blonde behind the desk at Planet Fitness is a good prospect. Voice is kind of weird, but she is very cheerful and hard working. Chick like works there 6 days a week and has another job. Might be too prole for you, I don't know your situation. If it were me, she would be a top prospect to ease me into the city. |
