unless he's some good will hunting type genius, this kind of shows that the whole industry is flame.
at the end of the day, most of the value at these places is in selling people on the product. the product itself is often trash, but typical retail investors aren't sophisticated enough to realize that they are not only underperforming the market, they're paying high fees (often 1% or more) for the privilege.
it's actually astounding that the actively managed mutual fund industry is so huge. people are stupid. |
