Minnesotans aren't viewed as negatively as Illinoisans, but there's enough sports rivalry stuff with Packers/Vikings and Badgers/Gophers that they are certainly Wisconsin's second most disliked state.
I would say there's even a potential political implication around the September 29th matchup with the Vikings at Lambeau. If you had a game as ugly as the 2017 Packers loss to the Vikings, where Anthony Barr broke Aaron Rodgers' collarbone with a late hit - something like that could easily swing several thousand votes away from Dems. |
