2017-2024 is like round 1-10 in every rocky movie. trump was unsure, taken beating after beating, getting by just by sheer force of will. he loses by a questionable split decision in 2020. his critics count him out again. the libs start showboating again. now it's like rocky iv with ivan drago punishing rocky. now they know he's dangerous and needs to be taken seriously, so they pull out all the stops on viciousness and cheating. they're charging him with multiple felons in multiple states, just pounding him over and over. to the point that the crowd starts siding with rocky.

suddenly, the libs, who for the second time in less than a decade felt they had a lead so insurmountable, starting feeling the winds of change turning against them. they crowd is cheering the underdog. they people are disgusted by their viciousness and cheating. but trump's been taking blows for 9 rounds, his only hope is to knock out an opponent who has proven to be overwhelming and undefeatable. he can't do it, no one can!
