Something like xo seems different because it's not a conventionally political forum, and when anything is permitted to be said, it ends up getting a surrealist layer to it. Most of it ends up just looking like elaborate performance and inside joke. Would be interesting to try out as a test case, but I think obviously wherever the main site is now is still the best case for it considering how well and for how long it has endured.
