No planned sightseeing have been to LA many times. I’ll poast the restaurants after leaving to avoid any poasters showing up without making plans ahead of time. No faggy fine dining though. Sticking more to old mid century and prior classics. Sadly was at the game there in ‘08 where the Bucks got absolutely blown TF out.
high profile teams are more likely to have worse bowl records than lower profile teams bc they get placed into bowl games that more deserving teams should get.

ljl at this silly cope. USC is as high profile as it gets and they have like a 70% win percentage.
and they play in the colisuem, not the Rose Bowl. and everyone knows LA is hardly a home town advantage. most rose bowls had more bucks fans than trojans.
i have no horse in this race. it's dumb to measure a school's overall success based on bowl game win % in the past 100 years. there's a million better metrics. one school winning a bunch of holidays bowl vs another losing a bunch of roses bowl isnt interesting.

sup RSF, yeah I'm sure you have no horse in this race. Under any metric ohio st has underperformed in bowl games. probably because they were gifted 8-9 wins a year playing in the big ten. USC on the other hand dominates every historic metric available.
And no, I haven't. I wasn't into NPB that much this season due to availability. I used to watch FTF which had Pacific League games on delay on Pluto TV app or alternatively on their site directly. Then it got removed from that and was on this other weird app for a bit and then on yet another streaming app I've never heard of plus I was without a room with a TV where I could also use a table or desk for a while due to some household stuff (renovations not pauper related) so I wasn't convenient to just watch during the day. Finally, I am not dedicated enough to wake up at 4 AM and watch the games live online on this Japanese baseball discord I'm in so I've just been watching birdshits and beaners play in the MLB instead. You?
I wish the league were bigger, it's just the same 6 teams going at each other for 143 games. Not unlike the same poasters always feuding on here I suppose. Gonna invite CSLG out when you're in LA? He is probably looking for people to hang with since he lost his family

LA is fucking terrible. Everything is 30-90 minutes away from everything else in traffic. Endless wasteland of strip malls and small towns and junkie/bum filled shantytowns mixed with black ghetto and straight out of Mexico/central America barrio. Add to that insufferable shitlibs and a 2am last call.
It's never last call in the shady alleyways and side streets leading into Sunset, brother.
Also, I'm never out past 2330 personally, and in California, 0200 is the same as 0500 in New York, so arguably the bars stay open later than they do in MFH.

1. agreed the homeless pop is horrendous. you don't get them here in NYC or at least I don't see any. probably because they'd freeze.
2. 30 minutes isn't bad, really anywhere. I'm in NYC now and it might take me 30 minutes to go from one part of town to the other, although see #3 below
2. In LA, like many place, it makes sense to stay / live where you want to hang out. that way you can just walk (NYC), Lime scooter (LA), etc. to wherever you want to go
3. how tf have you not figured out the traffic by now. i remember a post from like 10 years ago where you were complaining about traffic while trying to go across LA at 5pm
4. *michael irvin impression* c'mon man. the nice parts of LA are easy to find. there's also needlessly pretentious shit if that's your thing
5. the trip malls and small towns and junkie/bum filled shantytowns mixed with black ghetto and straight out of Mexico/central America barrio grows on you after a while. it seems like the original LA. like from Pulp Fiction

I have friends in different parts of the city, so lots of running aroind to get everyone together is inevitable. Also like, going to/from the USC game is a huge hassle.

they call those "long distance relationships" in LA. it's just how it is. also, i doubt those friends get together frequently when you're not involved. this is well known in LA. also, can you name a single city in which getting to the stadium is not a gigantic pain in the ass? I guess lots of cities have baseball stadiums right in the city. very few have big time college football conveniently located next to public transport. overall, i think you're just being a vag about this bro

I mean in Columbus I can go to bars to pregame that are a 10min cab from a downtown hotel then walk to the stadium. I was just at a KSU game and it was zero hassle getting to the stadium. Texas wasn't bad, short walk after a 10-15 minute uber from the downtown bars. Could walk to/from Autzen easily. Husky stadium was an easy walk through campus from bars. I could go on, but mostly it's just that LA has some of the worst traffic in the US.
I agree totally that's why I need to stitch all these people together while i'm here. Believe me I've had prior trips where i'm in LA, buddy is in West Hollywood, we have plans then check the projected uber times and are like eh let's do this another day. When you are not seeing friends or cancelling plans because the travel times are too much to deal with, that's a problem IMO.

I'm not against it but it's gonna be tough, have packed schedule today, tomorrow and Sat and was trying to use Fri as a rest day to be fresh for the game and Halloween parties.
