He points out that by the standards conservatives set, there is no basis on which to oppose Indians at a UT football game.

That's what a Texan is. That is what is appropriate in the occasion. But it's all Indians there. They're not Texans. That's not America. Everybody recognizes the problem is racial.”
On conservative hypocrisy: “And the problem is people don't even feel comfortable articulating this. In their heart of hearts, in their bones, with their eyes, they know what the problem is.”
This is much more honorable than Charlie Kirk-style lying about what is motivating you.

and anyway pre-1965 is was just a different kind of segregation. english hated irish, dutch hated germans, germans hated poles, everyone hated italians, and jews schemed against them all. none of them were "white," and none of them wanted to live together. |
