Fortunately seems this is the last of it, basically they ended up replacing probably 30 percent of the port outrigger deck and over 75 percent of the front bottom area and 50% of back transom but now it's strong as furk

Tommy,
I don’t think I’ve taken the opportunity to say it in your other boat threads, but I’m so happy for you man. I think this is a brave and exciting thing that you’ve embarked on and I’m rooting for you. I think it has the possibility to fill your life with fun and a sense of purpose. It’s a new and focused way to grow as we all navigate middle age.
I hope you let us continue to ride along and bust your balls all the way.
Fair seas and following winds, friend.

Nothing lasts forever. You can learn to sail competently in only a couple of years. You can take your time and cruise most of the world in 15. At some point you’re going to find yourself sitting in a rolling anchorage in foul weather able to see the grocery store from your deck knowing you’ve got a miserable hour long soaking wet dinghy launch & ride to get there. You’ll be done. And after…?
Afterwards you go Kerala and teach the sons of India’s emergent upper middle class to be the next generation of Tommy’s and set sail. You set up shop somewhere perpetually sunny and warm in SE Asia and take drunk German tourists on day trips to see the reef and ogle the wives. You set up a kooky free love commune on the boat with a bunch of Aussie hippies and teach them to sail (for XO’s content creation, please do this). You take your collection of amazing experiences and stories and use it to pull all kinds of octogenarian ass at The Villages in Florida.
Change is inevitable, but not uncontrollable. You dictate the course and boldly take the next step. Just like you’ve done here.

yes im retarded, i never checked everything when i inspected it for 15min before buying, it was in the water and whatever
then when they moved this to near shore in the mangrooves to actually inspect entire hull wld require walking in mud during low tide, at the time that was in early morning and i dont wake up so i never did
also the hull is just so furking big its hard to find everything
of course in hindsight im retarded but i paid this hellosir like 1k extra for all this other shit, maybe i shld have bought it for 12.5k instead of 15k but who cares
now we've inspected everything and found all rot so its all covered, its 4.5k to fix everythign quite amazing this wld be 30k in west

lol no, once its actually ready to sail in inshallah 2 months i will try one (1) hire an instructor for a week but they prob will ask for insane amounts (2) hire a furking HELLOSIR who sails, already hve one who did circumnavigation but not confident he knows enough and (3) just advertise for crew and try to get 2-3 ppl to join
at least for first month i want to have crew, then i will eventually move solo, i think this boat shld be 180 for solo i can even raise main sail from cockpit without going out, but the sail will be heavy and anchoring cld be a problem as visibility is difficult
my goal is to get to palawan with crew then just practice solo then go down south solo to malaysia inshallah

a 40 ft trimaran is not that easy to single hand and is difficult to dock and moor by yourself even if you are experienced. it is a great boat for 2-4 people and you can carry surfboards or kayaks along with the hard dingy with outboard.
You should really find a very experienced sailor to hang out/ sail with you for a few weeks to teach you the ropes - try to find someone on the crew chats. there are sailors looking for adventure. They will be wary of your inexperience and will probably want to be paid something, but they will be far cheaper than an instructor. make sure you like them before you invite them.
