he's not American but yeah he's not getting through border control if he flies to the US. the messed up thing is they don't just deny you entry and book you on the next flight anymore--he'll get thrown in an ICE detention center in solitary confinement for a couple of months before getting deported for antisemitism.

NBD, congressional republicans just need to lick Trump's nuts even harder and be even more spineless in the face of every retarded shower thought that Trump demands be implemented into a disastrous national policy, and they'll win the midterms.

Lmao they’re fucked either way. MAGA enthusiasm is draining and if Donald reverses course he won’t get back normal people he already lost he’ll just lose more of the MAGA farm animals who want “arrests now!”

what do you base that on? his approval ratings were pretty high, even with the DOGE foolishness, until he started in on this trade war shit. if that keeps up he's fucked, but if things stabilize i wouldn't count on his numbers going to shit.

I’m totally unhinged and insane and gay etc, but what does that have to do with Donald being the least popular POTUS at this point of his presidency in modern history and already seeing a double digit negative swing in approval?

i disagree that the subset of people that (i) would not vote for a cackling drunk brown hooker and (ii) doesnt approve of goal-less trade wars and threatening the fed independence, = 0

Dems are obviously very likely to control the house after the mid terms. I’m not sure how much that matters. The house will get most of what they need done before the mid terms and during lame duck.
There’s no realistic path toward dem control of the senate in 2026. Trump has 4 years to rubber stamp judges and maybe gets another scotus seat too. It’s hard to overstate how fucked dems are and how much of a disaster 2024 was. Only a true landslide in 2028 can begin to reverse this. 2026 isn’t that important in the grand scheme of things.

Yeah senate’s probably out of reach. Trump will for sure get a bunch more important judiciary appointments, which he will then impotently rage about a few weeks later when they don’t rubber stamp his anti-American and unconstitutional policies.
They’ll pass a massive budget breaking bill doling out gimmes for billionaires, and then that’ll be the end of his POTUSY. Lots of damage, no real benefits, nothing transformational in a positive sense.
2028 we can get back to normal with MAGA fully discredited.

Controlling the house is enough to make life difficult for Trump. They are going to subpoena every person in that admin, which will help uncover a lot of nasty shit going on behind the scenes. And they will not fund the gov. without giving Ukraine money, etc., and other major concessions on how the Fed. Gov. implements policies.
I agree that GOP should maintain the senate though, unless Trump's poll numbers REALLY tank, i.e., below 30 approval.
I also disagree that Dems are truly fucked. They barely lost in 2024, and almost won the house despite it being significantly gerrymandered. They are probably going to make massive gains in state houses as well, which are more important nowadays.
They’re also going to cut off funding for just about anything he wants to do. He should probably get a few more of those taxpayer-funded golf vacations in while he still can

MAGA will be below 35% by the end of Donald dealmaker’s presidency. Americans hated him the first time around. Now he’s making everything more expensive cratering the stock market and costing people jobs. He will be historically unpopular in short order

The house gerrymander isn’t much of a big deal these days given republican gains in suburbs and blue states employing heavy gerrymanders of their own. Nate Silvers latest estimate had it at about 1-2% max.
Agreed that a dem house can make things hard on Trump re: budget, but that requires being willing to shut down which inflicts pain on their own base and gives Trump a target to shift focus off of him.
People really don’t like Trump but they don’t like democrats either.
