I don't blame the elites for thinking the population is retarded but I kind of miss the days when ARE Leaders were more shadowy and confidential with their nefarious designs.
didn't andreesen say that the Biden admin told AI leaders that they shouldn't fund AI startups because the US government wants there to be just a couple of well-regulated, protected, and controlled AI companies?

probably public bailouts disguised as government investment and regulation. their goal was always to dump this garbage at the greatest possible valuation onto the heads of the public so the circular finance scam didn't collapse

I think the autistic engineers are autistically honest about the dangers of AI, but don't realize that government regulation wouldn't be effective and just want to warn people about what they're doing so they absolve themselves a guilt. The reason they're permitted to say this without their kike investors going crazy is that the kikes know this'll just make it harder for competitors to emerge. The reason it's happening now is that the major players have gotten enough of a head start that complying with regs won't cost as much as dealing with competitors.

This is what I think too. They aren't making anything up to trick someone, like a lot of schizos seem to believe. They actually do think its dangerous, and are saying this to let off guilt because they want to feel that they sat down in solemn council, and weighed the risks.

the risks outweigh the benefits-- but so does smoking, gambling and having extramarital affairs-- we just can't help ourselves with self destructive acts

CR, we need a "blue chip crypto" approach to AI. Not just bitcoin and ethereum (OpenAI and Anthropic) but scrappy smaller players too (Chainlink, Cardano, Tezos etc)

Not sure how they could possibly regulate this when every other regulatory appartus is non-functional and this would require a high level of expertise. Plus you'd need some Great Firewall of America to keep other AIs out. And would increase the budget and slow economic growth.
We'll just do what we always do these days and wait until everything blows up and then put emergency bandaids on it.

Am I not mistaken that the original purpose of OpenAI was to do exactly what these frauds are now calling for? i.e.) to develop AI safely in a non-profit setting so that it would benefit everyone without unnecessary "risk"?
Isn't that why Musk and others put tons of cash into the endeavor?
It seems like these shitheads threw that out the window because they wanted to be billionaires and now they want to have their cake and eat it too.

no. bitcoin uses the secp256k1 elliptic curve (ECDSA + schnorr signature) to generate public/private keypairs & sign transactions.
but elliptic curve cryptography is just as vulnerable to quantum computing. the question is whether AI can discover a way to "break" RSA (which would be really bad) before AI leads us into the post-quantum computing era.
Will AI be able to bypass FaceID to get into my phone and send everyone copies of my nudes? (they're in a hidden folder in Photos and my passcode is 062405 btw)

FaceID and biometrics more generally are extremely susceptible to circumvention. When used correctly, FaceID is just a password to a credential store: Your face unlocks the credential you need for whatever service you're wishing to access. Correct implementations are entirely on-device. Incorrect implementations access a centralized identity repository that stores everyone's biometrics.
Bill Gates has joined in. in US public life over the last 100 years, Gates has been wrong on more big issues than anyone except Biden. how does Gates still get quoted and promoted given all the things he's fucked up?
