My dad won't hug his half asian grandkids

Date: April 27th, 2025 1:38 PM Author: Traditional Latin ass Had a family get together yesterday in honor of my dad's retirement. Lots of extended family came and we had a big picnic. I saw cousins I've never met, aunts and uncles etc. Noticed dad was very cold with my kids. He usually is but to see him hug my cousin's kids who he has never met, and talk at length about their blue eyes and "normal hair color" while my kids are right there being ignored really stung.
He even told the cousin she could come stay at their lake house this summer for free. When I asked to stay at it last summer he said we had to book through VRBO for insurance reasons. He hadn't seen this person in 30 years. He commented multiple times how "freaking awesome" it was that she had kids that "look like family".
Towards the end of the night they took family photos. First they took one with everyone, then the photographer said "let's do one with close family only" and motioned to my wife and kids to get out of the shot. Nobody confronted her. So I took my family and left. My mom called about 45 mins later and I thought she was going to apologize, but she was asking if I had the contact deals for the cousin I mentioned earlier.
Am I wrong to be pissed off here? |

Last family event I went to i went in the back yard where kids were supposed to be playing and they had a shaman who told my kids they were cursed and he had sacrificed a chicken and burned a bunch of ceremonial paper with drawings of them on it to "cure" them.
