Just constant bullshit with contractor, subs, decisions, etc. Tension with wife over it. Living out of guest suite for 3 months (we were told 8-10 working days, which I didn’t believe, but going to 8x was unexpected). It’s still not 100% but I’m so worn down by it. I can’t imagine doing a whole house reno, which was in the plans for the next few years but I don’t know after this experience.
As perspective, wife told me that I’m used to working with other big lawyers, banks, smart people, etc. and I was just expecting way too much out of these people. Probably right but these are the people who do these jobs. |
