I walked past a toy foam pizza slice w little plastic legs and a goofy face and smile that some kid had dropped in the parking lot of the apartment complex situated below my office.

I turned around, walked back to it, picked it up, and set it on the table in the lobby so it could be recovered. It was kind of looking up at me from the blacktop, all goofy, like it needed some help to get back to its owner.
