There's a reason why Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd sold way more albums than Toto and Steely Dan. It was harder, more energetic, and more intense. And consequently, more popular.

There's nothing wrong with liking soft rock or appreciating their musicianship. Like anything you want to like. They still have a robust fanbase. But it really was a bunch of kind of goofy low T fags with goatees stroking themselves. Aja is a super famous, influential album so obviously a documentary about the genre is going to focus on The Dark Side of the Moon of soft rock. And as good as that album is is, yes, it does play in elevators and at the mall as background noise while people are shopping. Don't get butthurt that your thing is a substitute for background noise. That doesn't mean it's bad. Bossa nova is great too and it's also considered muzak.

Just stop being so butthurt boomers. So what if great musicians made kinda soft cheesy albums. There's nothing wrong with that. But most people don't get the same adrenaline rush as they do listening to Immigrant Song or The Wall. Chill out boomers.
