TC: $340k; MSc in CS.we are 80-90% Indian and 10-30% other. No new $ sense. We are incredibly cheap and are hoping to make the mortgage in Fremont. Due to the inherent instability in Tech we hold to every last $$ we can. Since Tech has pretty much turned into a contract job, we don’t spend.

tamil or telegu?
and whats the reality of the pajeet question in SV. i know 100% birdshit MAGAS are retarded but it's prob something in between. like truth is most non-kike Birdshits simply wont study STEM, the few smart ones go to MBA or JD or even MD. so the reality is i imagine in SV there are veddy few qualified non-kike birdshits

I agree they are transactional. Your best friend when they need you but nowhere to be seen when you need them. No reciprocity and no sharing of power/ knowledge with the new generation out of a concept of that’s the right thing to do.

they act like that to other turds too, its laughable birdshits coping mechanism is to pretend turds are SOOOOO nice to other turds and hire them left and right, rofl turds are the meanest mother furkers to their own kind, they prob wld be nicer to a birdshit or chink than a turd

They are either incredible nepotistic to their own tribe or unnecessarily hard asses. No sense of fairness and therein lies the problem. No working for the greater good. Tragedy of the commons, etc.

birdshits are too stupid to even FATHOM that turds have their own caste/religions/regions and that shit matters moar than being turd, bobert is too busy snorting meth and trying to rape azngirls to study this

That’s sweet man! Thoughts on AI being a wave right now and an exit to hype up valuations? I think it’s a long term trend like Cloud was. Any stocks you recommend for the next 3-5 years that will moon?

it's ai all the things right now, every fucking saas company is adding ai to their product. a year ago it was an upsell, but now it's table stakes and expected to be in the core offering. that, to me, suggests it's now just as foundational of a thing as cloud was.
as far as investing, my opinion is that there are tons of small/interesting ai companies that will be acquired for small/mid amounts of money, but because the teams are small the founders and key people will make out really well. i think early stage vc funds that invest small amounts spread across a lot of companies will end up having the best returns.
public co's, i have no clue. i sold pltr at 10 so...i'm an idiot.

It’s still fundamentally different than cloud because cloud had both the promise of costing less (which ultimately proved to be a mixed bag) and the opex instead of capex benefit. Then when you layered on any business that had regular spikes in demand for compute it was obviously a massive improvement. The bullshit people are calling AI today is stuff that they were working on 5 years ago and would’ve called “software automation” then. It’s clearly going to solve specific problems very well/cheaply, but it requires so much more specification and molding to user demands and use case complexity that it feels much more like when “apps and bpo” were all the rage, which was just IT outsourcers looking for hooks into customer code bases that would be “sticky” including replacing any manual processes with software automation.

I’m neither. Indians are definitely gaming the system, the nepotism is off the charts, some of it is inevitable due to the critical mass, but other practices like feeding the interviewees questions, picking Indian when all things equal are egregious. Tech has turned into a racket, and Indians are soft style parasites. There are two types of Indians in Tech, those who have gone thru a MSc in the US (and even worse those that have gone thru an L1) and work on CRUD applications (the coolie work) and then those who work in actual hi tech, with phds ldeveloping chips, latest algorithms, etc. the latter have my respect, the former are a net long term drag on the US and are cheating Americans with $100k+ in debt out of a livelihood.
Smart whites do go into high tech, but also go into medicine/ law and avoid CRUD shops due to the culture/ lack of job satisfaction/ desire for higher pay, and flat out rejection due to H1B nepotism. H1B needs massive reform but I’m not sure the damage is reversible in Tech. You have Indians with retarded cultural instincts that have seeped into middle and higher management. Everyone dreads working for an Indian boss - Indian Americans, H1B Indians, everyone.

Again this is meaningless without context. True high tech and top unicorns have a lot of whites doing higher level work. The ratio of whites at these star companies, jobs is 50-85%. The breakdown of Jewish Americans to white Americans amongst whites is 50-80% whites. The reasons for this is the undergrad education system in the US and the culture/ values that whites have with regards to the type of work/ work culture they prefer.

How are the schools in the towns between Atherton and SF? I have the impression that people in those towns pay $2M+ for unimpressive houses and unimpressive schools. In the NY suburbs, $2M gets you a nice house in a nice neighborhood with a good school district.

There are good school districts in Burlingame, Foster City and San Bruno I think has some good schools. Anything that falls in the San Mateo school distrit I am told is good.

Burlingame is good
Millbrae is good if you’re Chinese
The really rich people in those towns (particularly the ones along 280 like Woodside, Hillsborough, expensive parts of Menlo Park) send their kids to private which is otherwise fairly uncommon in the Bay Area outside of the handful of straight white families still in SF and people who insist upon living in the Oakland Hills.

CRUD = Create Read Update Delete. Lowest level of Computer science work, similar to doc review prestige... more cognitive power required than doc review.

CRUD can be a lot of things, and there are fiefdoms of jeet crudders even in the big companies that do interesting technical work
For ex: a few years ago I interviewed with amazon (normally I ignored their recruiters but this one specifically mentioned that it was for a non AWS role so at least I wouldn't have been signing up for an instant PIP)
I got past the interview rounds pretty easily but still had not been told what team I was interviewing for until the day of the final panel interview. The "product" this team owned was that when you finish a kindle book the OS automatically shows you recommendations for like 5 other books to buy instantly based on your history. They have to pull your history from a DB service they didn't design, add the one book you just finished, send a request to a recommendation service they also didn't design, display the results, and then publish the updated history back to the DB service
It would take one single competent engineer to build this and maintain it for all future platform updates, and yet somehow they had a team of 9 indians working full time on it that needed to hire even more engineering talent. I told the hiring manager that the ad thing was the single worst part of owning a kindle and that I absolutely never let my paperwhite off airplane mode specifically because of him, and am now probably blacklisted from AMZN
edit: not blacklisted, just got AWS recruiter spam 10 minutes after posting this
