In select instances, the military issues waivers to promising recruits who don't meet all of the guidelines for enlistment. Waivers are approved on a case-by-case basis and increase or decrease based on the military's need for personnel and the strengths an individual brings to service. Because the Army accepts soldiers with ADHD, you only need to request a waiver based on your Adderall usage. If your waiver is refused, the Army will allow you to re-enlist if you spend 12 months without taking Adderall while maintaining an academic career or job. Always work with your doctor to taper off prescription drug usage instead of quitting cold turkey.

Men in their 30s need to do 36-39 pushups with fresh arms, 42-45 sit-ups, and a 2 mile run in 17 minutes (8.5 mins per mile...the "easy jog" setting on treadmill).
I agree that if the test was 12 dead hang pull-ups, 90% of poasters would be DQ'd right there, and if it was 50 pushups after that, 1% would be left and I may not be among them |

You need close to maximum scores for a commission. for 27-31 year olds you will need close to 77 push ups, a 13:18 two mile run and 82 sit ups.
I think it's pretty unlikely most people could hit those numbers. With discipline and effort it's attainable, but that's true for almost anything. |

For people inclined to both fly and fight, I think Army air corp. is a bit of a hidden gem in that most people think Air Force and Navy and overlook opportunities with the Army. However, the types of planes and missions the Army flies absolutely get you close to the action and are very much front line.
Not that flying an F-16 wouldn't be cool, but the reality is that Top Gun shit never happens. Air superiority is all about long range missiles and relatively high altitude bombing runs. |

I guess the rest depends mostly upon whether or not drug usage is actually as common as it seems to be among poasters. Also, a decent fraction of the board is now pushing the upper age limit for commissioning.
My guess overall is 30%, and the twist is that a lot of people who would reasonably think they could, actually can’t. |
