i really do think there's been some kind of quid pro quo with some element of the deep state that let him in. a managed recalibration away from the far-left, which was starting to become too destabilizing. |

With support from certain oligarchs, he may have had more of a feel of how the election was going to go, he knew the Dem cheat machine was not supposed to go brrrrrrrr (that he accomplished by somehow made some sort of deal with whoever he needed to), and he had more confidence that he had support and that he didn't have to just win this himself. He's learned how power really works in the US and is actually playing the game - which he was forced to do by libs, as if he didn't figure this game out, he was going to go to jail or be killed (without the stakes being so high, perhaps he just keeps claiming to fuck all foreigners to death at his rallies and not much else, ensuring a a loss, while the entire system ensures his loss).

Trump has always been willing to play ball with powerful people. they just literally told him to fuck off in his first term, because he was toxic and they thought he'd be out of the picture in 4 years, or liquidated. |
