Date: February 11th, 2010 2:19 AM Author: charcoal gunner library Won't sugar coat it for you. When I went through PLIP I was EE with good grades, and it was 2006. Chem E d00ds had a hard time then. You need to focus on mid-size firms, to be fair. Do you have a reg number? In big firms, this doesn't matter. Having not worked in a smaller firm environment, I expect it does because they want you to do the calling to the Examiner etc. You will be dealing with sole inventors more in those firms. My suggestion is to go ahead and spend the money to get your reg number with a course, and if you strike out, you can use that to get a job.

I was top 1/3 at a school ranked around 70 and had a 2.8 in ug gpa
if the undergrad gpa was above a 3 I am sure I would have done better

Approximately 1700 students have registered and (generally) only about half that number will get enough interviews that they’ll actually attend.
