It's a *CURVE*, so even if you work your ass off, if you worked less than 85-90% of everyone else, you can get a B or B- easily. All the grade shows is that you worked less than most everyone else, not that you did "minimal" work.
You can easily rebound by taking Fed Courts, Admin, Evidence, and CrimInvest and getting As or A-s -- shows the B in ConLaw was a fluke. |

In addition, if this person's GPA was brought down to a 3.82 (obvious flame but let's go with thehypo) it means he's a smart fucking dood, meaning he had to work even LESS in order to end up below median. Someone with a near 4.0 but for one B grade pretty much shows he was in te bottom 5% or so of people in the class in terms of work level.

Upwards of 80% of the class will get a B+, so you really have to be in the bottom 10% to do worse than that. Not true for all classes, but the grade sdistributions are public so you can go look to see which classes you needto focus on and make sure you're in the top half.
One profexplained to me that to get below a B- in his class you have to unlearn things you knew before his class. |
