Date: September 3rd, 2010 11:32 PM Author: Confused aphrodisiac pistol I live pretty frugally and didn't have much debt to begin with. I'm pretty sure that if I lived in ARE country, my quality of life would actually be better on a resident's salary than it is currently in NYC on a biglaw salary.
The bottom line is that there is no future for me at my firm. I'm well liked and I doubt I'd get laid off anytime soon, but I'm not some superstar certain to make partner. Maybe there's some element of the grass is always greener at work, but I see my doctor friends and they seem legitimately happy. I will obviously put a lot of thought into this before pulling the trigger but now is the time to start getting out apps for 2011-2012 and I'd like to have the option available. |
