Are offer:callback rates going to be higher this year than last?

Or are firms calling back more people for similar SA sizes?

what i'm saying man is it's in your attitude. you can't have this negative mindset where you think just bc one of your cbs is in october you have no chance. if you have no chance wtf are they flying you out there and wasting people's time

you are in it. don't think about other people and just do the best you can. sure there's a chance you won't get it. but with 4 independent events you can really minimize that chance.

Ok. You should really prep for it. I know people with 2 last year and got an offer, while others had 7 and got locked out.

I think a lot of it depends on the market too. (The 7 callback-no offer guy targeted CA.)

Good luck.

yeah i thought about it and think it might be school-specific. firms HAVE to be more "generous" about giving cbs to nyu/cls students since travel expenses are less, no?

Dunno if they HAVE to, but it's probably easier for interviewers to convince the recruiting committee to callback more people when they don't have to pay for anything. However, once they are called back, we non NYU/CLS-ers still have to compete against them, and these schools are ranked higher, which may or may not mean anything at the callback stage.

for at least some firms I think school rank still matters at the callback stage. I know from seeing the data on TLS for firms that the callback:offer ratio can be significantly different depending on the school one is at. And this makes sense since it seems that most firms have an idea of how many students they want from each school.

What about MVP vs. CCN?

Is there a drastic difference in offer rates at v50s?

I really don't know for MVP vs. CCN. I've seen Yale vs. Columbia and the difference at some firms is pretty significant. But maybe the gap doesn't extend beyond HYS and everything else...I don't know.

Ok. I've only seen Columbia's CB ratios, so I can't make a comparison at all.
