I see this a lot with people (not just girls) who grew up at least middle class and have 4 year degrees.
Some of these people legitimately have done a lot of traveling abroad, whether it be because they have family in more than one country, grew up overseas, or spent some time overseas on account of their job.
Some of these people are the ones who have only been overseas when someone else (likely parents) has been footing the bill.
I think liking overseas travel is more normal than disliking it, although I recognize that liking "world travel" is as cliche as saying you "work hard and play hard" and like a "night in your sweat pants as much as a night at the clubs".
