She started bitching about how a new friend of my kid comes by and the friend's dad is taking advantage of my wife by never reciprocating by taking our kid sometimes. I told her to tell the new kid's dad, "hey, it's 50/50 bro you have to take our kid sometimes." She said she couldn't dare to be so forward as she is a lady and "how come that guy didn't know that about how baby sitting works." I then told her "look every time you fail to stick up for us, your family, you get taken advantage of. It's not just over who is classy or not--you are literally spending our family resources when you don't stand up for us and say something like, 'hey you gotta watch our kid too sometimes.'"

She then got super pissed and said "this is why I don't like to talk to you" and stormed off and started watching something on youtube.
