He was definitely on course - however, people didnt realize (i) that his "course" was about 4 years older than it pretended to be, (ii) that his course had a little help from steroids pre-testing, and (iii) that players would age much quicker w/o steroids.

Even if that happened his contract was insane. Wasn't it like 10 years when he was already 30-31 years old? LOL, jfc I just checked, they are paying him 30m in final year of deal in 2021 when he will be 41 years old jfc, and then he gets a 10 year 10 mil service contract post retirement
