$1100 to fly to my azn basketball tournament in philly

Now need to decide whether to pay $250 per night for my own hotel room, or share a room with my teammates who are in their 20's for free. |

I also want to fly direct and not take a redeye and land at 6 am three hours before my first game at 9 am.
$1100 is a lot of money but I will pay $600 to not have to fly in a middle seat for 13 hours with stop overs in Denver and redeyes both ways.
Taking a train is a similar hassle where I have to consider the value of my time and convenience - as well as it being impossible to take a train from Philly to NY after 4 pm, then fly back to LA and be home before 2 am. |
