He was terrified about going to school that day, and his parents made him, and all the black kids chimped out and beat the shit out of all the white kids.
Ljl at the white establishment making the entire story about this assassinated prophet of peace and integration, failing to mention that the 15% minority then wrecked total havoc on the children of the majority.
Reminds of me of the first time I read something about southerners hooting and cheering when they heard JFK died. The established narrative drivers never allowed me to believe everyone wasnt heart broken.
Or when I watched, with my own eyes, the black school kids hooting and laughing and acting up on the A-train the afternoon of 9/11. That wont make the 9/11 history. |

Both of these men were gunned down, along with JFK and Bobby Kennedy, two white leaders who had been sympathetic to civil rights causes. As a result, people became frustrated with a notion of a less violent resistance.
It was a recipe for disaster and a lot of social unrest at the time. |

But after watching the 1992 LA riots Ive become less convinced that the majority of rioters are actually politically motivated at all. Most seemed gleeful and greedy and opportunistic.
Of course the trigger was a political event, but I would hesitate to give too much weight to the idea that rioting is some kind of political or moral speech. |
