It's been quite a year. When I first awakened from my state of denial, my hair was in horrible shape. Ironically, I often found myself more depressed after starting finasteride than I had been before, as it dawned on me just how bad my situation was. Sometimes, I looked at men, including men much older than me, who hadn't suffered hair loss and wondered how, even after all my many advantages, life could have been so unfair to me.
But I persevered. I haven't missed a dose of finasteride since I started. I have also been reading extensively about other ways of countering hair loss. Full disclosure, I have also started using a product called Caboki. It's basically brown dust that you sprinkle on your hair that makes it look thicker. A few years ago, I would have thought that was pathetic. But, combined with finasteride and minoxidil, it's a miracle worker.
I owe a great debt of gratitude to XO for my progress. I had considered using fin before, but I never would have started it if not for the encouragement that I got on here. I really feel like I have a new lease on life. And I wouldn't have that without this website. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. |

Some people fall into insecurity and unhealthy obsessions, but the bottom line is that Chad Theory, or whatever you want to call it, is extremely useful for understanding human behavior. For years, long after I got out of college, I thought that my prestigious background was all that I needed to have tons of girls chasing after me. I thought looks were useful but way down the list. Uh, no, turns out that women are much more similar to men than I had realized. (Have read info on places other than XO as well.) Looks and stereotypical gender traits are extremely important for hook ups. The magnitude of this truth eluded me until I learned about Chad Theory. I'm better off knowing the truth, and I've been able to become more Chadly, and attract more girls, as a result. |
