My spouse in myself, yes we are same-sex married for 5 years, are considering purchasing a home and Caldwell Idaho. But we are both coming from Southern California, are home states are different. I am from the east coast and my spouse is from the south. We are wondering what the community is like as far as acceptance of same-sex married couples. We are female, highly educated, I am retired military 100% disabled veteran, though not incapacitated. We love to be part of a community that we move to we are not moving there to impede upon anyone. We are fed up with California have been for number of years and are just looking for a slice of peace and beauty. I am 60 and my spouse is 52. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

We are an liberal, outdoorsy, trans-racial family looking to move to the Boise area for grad school. My husband and I and our three children. We want to live near organic health food stores, good schools, near parks and community events. Of course, we realize we won't be able to live near everything, but would like to rent in a thriving community. I would love to be able to walk places, but I also want to escape the hustle and bustle. It sounds like Boise is a great place to live, I am just concerned that our children will struggle to fit in. We are used to standing out, and getting strange looks at times. People trying to figure out why our children are with us (even had a stranger check to see if I was kidnapping my daughter). But, I want to avoid them being the only minorities in school. We don't need a lot of diversity, but some would be nice. Any info you may have for our family would be great! Thanks!

Asian guy here. Boston native.

Background: I would like to think I'm not a bad looking guy, average atleast. I make good income, well into the six figures, but i'm short at 5'6. Overall, I think my personality is somewhat outgoing in IRL.

Experience: During my late 20s, I signed up for match.com and was stunned at how difficult to date, having a girl respond back to my message would occur maybe once a quarter to semi-annually. I spent 4 years on the site and I only gotten 1 date. At $40/month for 4 years, I spent nearly 2k on the site for nothing. I was largely focusing on asian girls, because I felt a much stronger cultural connection with them, and I do think there is less family friction. But after realizing that might be a lost cause, I focused on professional girls in my age group, but the outcome was the same or worse - girls wouldn't even view my profile.

Now i'm in my mid 30s, and honestly the apps are all pretty much useless for me. Regardless, I recognize that life isn't fair and I shouldn't be angry at the things I can't control, instead I should just focus on the things that I can control.
