ME is wrecking their case. See my last few posts on that. ME is saying that Floyd's heart disease, hypertension, and drugs were all contributing factors and that his heart "couldn't handle" the police restraint (ie the level of activity and stress it caused, not the restraint itself)

Prone position is not inherently dangerous and in some cases recommended to INCREASE oxygen intake

Chauvin's restraint was part of training

Suspects often lie to avoid arrest

Bystanders were threatening police and made both detection and treatment of duress difficult

Floyd had no physical evidence of bruising or other trauma to the neck or back, and no signs of hypoxia

Floyd had heart disease, hypertension, and drugs in his system, all of which the ME believes contributed to his death.

- The restraints on Floyd did restrict his breathing

- 9 minutes 20 seconds or whatever number they're going with.

I don't see how any of that proves murder, but the manslaughter charge is debatable.
