It looks like the Russians threw a dead body or something at the edge of the bushes and used it as bait. "Marathon" stops and looks at it, then asks the POWs (again) if there are any other Russians holed up around there. When the shit kicks off, the other Ukes keep asking the POWs where the other Russians are, like that's gonna work.
Of course they are standing behind the POWs, using them as human shields while this is happening. It's only when they step into the bushes that the Russians clap back.
It's unclear what happened to the dood who decided to sit and recline in the grass while shooting into the bushes, but he's running away from the POWs when we last see him, and the bushes are between him and the POWs, and the last few seconds tell you that this footage was taken off dead Ukes, so u pretty much have to assume they all got killed. |
