Project 2025 is pie in the sky nonsense. 90% of it would require Congress and courts to be on board. Trump saw through it, but LIBS still think it's legit. The fact that LIBS take it seriously tells you how "smart" libs really are.

Your entire argument Project 2025 not being viable is based on there being libs to stop it. What if there weren't libs to stop it? The entire concept is based around Republicans controlling the presidency Congress and having courts on their side.

JD and Trump have already said that they want to get rid of anyone who isn't loyal to them in an attempt to clear the deck to pass whatever goofy policies they want.

If they had their way, this is basically what they would do. Project 2025 is a thought experiment. "What would we want a Republican president to do if he had complete control"

Libs are actually smart enough to hide their plans and conservatives are so stupid that they commission committees to put their plans to paper for everyone to see

1) Trump says he doesn't know who's behind it but he's worked with some top Heritage people, spoken at their events.

2) and Vance is bros with them as well.

3) Libs are understandably concerned after Trump's nominees overturned Roe. Even if you think Trump is personally a moderate on the issue (which I think is the case), his desire to give cons fan service on their priorities can lead to religious right outcomes.

4) Project 2025 is like pretty insane if you read the details. They apparently want to criminalize pornography and treat school libraries as sex offenders for giving kids the "wrong" books (not weird lib porn, just like something some harpy insane religious facebook mom would complain about), if you take it literally.

I'm not saying this is a reason to vote for "Kamala" "Harris", just saying I understand where libs are coming from and Trump's denials really haven't been credible. And then he nominates Vance who wants a Fugitive Slave Act for abortion-seeking women and has made a lot of alienating retard comments, and well...

re point 4, P2025's insane goals, this is a copy-paste from it:

"Pornography, manifested today in the omnipresent propagation of transgender ideology and sexualization of children, for instance, is not a political Gordian knot inextricably binding up disparate claims about free speech, property rights, sexual liberation, and child welfare. It has no claim to First Amendment protection. Its purveyors are child predators and misogynistic exploiters of women. Their product is as addictive as any illicit drug and as psychologically destructive as any crime. Pornography should be outlawed. The people who produce and distribute it should be imprisoned. Educators and public librarians who purvey it should be classed as registered sex offenders. And telecommunications and technology firms that facilitate its spread should be shuttered."

Note that "transgender ideology" is an incredibly broad concept that could mean literally the idea that there are trans people at all - like, you can't even "teach the controversy" (not even to teenagers, presumably). They are saying pornography (which they want to CRIMINALIZE) is "manifested" in transgender ideology propagation. So basically, "transgender ideology" is an example of the pornography they want to criminalize, just reading this paragraph carefully and literally (this, btw, is a very fucking weird definition of what counts as porn). They want to register educators and public librarians who purvey "transgender ideology" as *sex offenders*. This is completely insane. They basically want to make this retardation happening in Idaho nationwide, but way more severe and with worse penalties: https://www.tiktok.com/@carlyjdot/video/7395341385349483818?_r=1&_t=8oMRRvsBsbG

It began as two-page infographic with a dozen or so bulleted agenda items, no details. Then it grew over time and got longer and longer until someone said "enough."

The reason I know this is because I was alerted to P2025 several weeks before it became a mainstream sensation. This huge shitlib I know started freaking out about it, because he had just been offered a government job and he was worried Trump would fire him. This is what prompted him to contact me and teach me about Project 2025. I lmao'd about it for weeks before I saw any mention of it on xo or elsewhere.

Project 2025 is a heritage foundation fever dream. It's a wish list of "imagine if we controlled the presidency, Congress and had all of the courts on our side. These are the policies we would pass".

It is kind of scary to think that this is actually the country Republicans would want in their ideal circumstance. That alone is pretty scary. There is a reason why the heritage foundation shut it down and Trump distance himself from it. The policies would be incredibly unpopular and the moment Americans actually got to read what Republicans would want to do They immediately rejected it.
