At the point at which I stopped reading, I still wasn't sure what the fundamental tone of the piece was or what his thesis was -- as in, was it tongue-and-cheek; was he adopting the reasoning of ppl like adam kinzinger ironically; was his point something backhanded like "tim walz IS a piece of shit but the media won't run with the story"? I couldn't tell.

So I suppose if you happen to come in with a large amount of relatively abstruse knowledge, you at least have a fair shot of understanding the article, but the article still ultimately defeated me two-thirds the way through (I hope it was 2/3rds; the thing seemed interminable).

Walz’ lies aren’t going to hurt him because (a) no one cares about the VP, and (b) he didn’t say anything egregiously false. But it’s being covered in the mainstream media, which is good, and if the GOP actually uncovers him saying he fought in Iraq, he’s probably in deep shit.
