Eg All in the Family was responsive to but broader than just a boomer audience and was made by the Greatest Gen. But by 75 you have boomers themselves completely taking over Hollywood and watergate and the post-watergate era of the culture is driven by them (movies, sitcoms, broadcast news, post-watergate reporting culture etc.) and was the moment when boomers started to fully dominate culture and gain control of institutions to mold the world for the next 50 years. Gen X’s equivalent to 1975-79 is the 94-99 period post-Cobain but prior to the financialization of the economy and 9/11 re-entrenching boomers and postponing the major tech takeover of the economy until millennials came along.
