I look at comments on various sites and I've seen an increasing amount of people using the wrong "there" (don't care to enumerate the variations) and people using loose and lose interchangeably. I think autocorrect is fucking with young people's minds.

I use incorrect homophones all the time. It's just something that happens when you're typing casually and semi-mindlessly. Zoomers usually disable autocorrect and autocapitalize so their shit doesn't seem overly formal. Doesn't mean they don't know the difference between you're and your anymore than when we wrote ur at their age.

im sure it is but proles always wrote like that. more proles in those comments than ever
some of these are worse than others though imo. i can enjoy a "they're" when "their" would be correct but loose for lose drives me nuts. always reminds me of matthew 16:19. very distracting

The "smart" entry level kids from "great schools" like "Tufts" make tons of mistakes like this. And they aren't even bright enough to consider running the work through our AI tool.

I’ve noticed this too, especially on Reddit. For all their faults, Redditors usually write well and use proper spelling / grammar (hallmark of try-hard Loserness). Now I just see sentence fragments, no capitalization, misspellings, shit that just doesn’t make sense, etc.
