Change DNS on Windows 11
Open the Start menu and select Settings (or press Win + I).
Click on Network & internet on the left menu, then select your connection type (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
Scroll down to find DNS server assignment and click the Edit button next to it.
Change the drop-down menu from Automatic (DHCP) to Manual.
Turn on the IPv4 toggle switch.
Enter the Cloudflare addresses:
Preferred DNS: 1.1.1.1
Alternate DNS: 1.0.0.1
(Optional) Turn on the IPv6 toggle and add the IPv6 addresses if needed: 2606:4700:4700::1111 and 2606:4700:4700::1001.
Click Save.
Change DNS on iPhone (iOS)
Note: Manual configuration on iOS applies only to the specific Wi-Fi network you are connected to and must be repeated for other Wi-Fi networks.
Open the Settings app and tap Wi-Fi.
Tap the "i" (information) icon next to your connected Wi-Fi network name.
Scroll down and tap Configure DNS.
Change the setting from Automatic to Manual.
Under DNS Servers, tap the red minus (-) icon next to any existing numbers and tap Delete to clear them.
Tap Add Server and type 1.1.1.1.
Tap Add Server again and type 1.0.0.1 as a secondary backup.
Tap Save in the top right corner.
If you want to apply this across your entire home network at once without changing individual devices, let me know your router brand (like ASUS, Netgear, or Eero) and I can help you set up 1.1.1.1 directly on your router.
